The Net
Today is a content day. Which is also a new feeling to me. Setting aside a whole day to run around with phone cameras while we try and come up with some idea of what the heck we're doing! On this musical journey of mine, I won’t say this part has been my favorite, but I’m trying to find my own lane of achieving it. Because at the end of the day, how am I supposed to get this music out and spread our mission if people can't see us?
It almost feels like casting a net, except each piece of content, or show, or new song released (Feb. 20th, by the way!) is one loop in the net. Which means I have to get over it, believe in what we're doing, and start tying the net together.
This analogy doesn’t even touch on the fact that there are thousands of other fishers all trying to cast their net in the same ways. Which I think has been on my mind the most lately. Not so much fear of the other fishers or the nets they have. More about the importance of my net, how I’m building it, and the journey it takes to build it. There will always be other people out there posting similar things or trying to achieve similar goals. Which is why I think it’s so important to keep a positive mindset and keep working away at your net!
Trying to keep the enjoyment of that process can be hard sometimes. Like for me on a content day. But I’d like to say I’m happy I get to be here, playing my music, writing these posts, shooting content, and tying together my net.
